About AMUG

A community for
automated mineralogy

Organised by volunteers, AMUG brings together new and expert users — across industry and academia — for open technical discussion and direct dialogue with the technology providers.

The Automated Mineralogy User Group Meetings are organised by volunteers. These events bring together new and expert users — across industry and academia — and provide a forum for technical discussions between themselves and with the technology providers.

User Group meetings were a regular part of the Automated Mineralogy community until 2014. The hiatus was broken in 2022 with the first new user group being held in Adelaide. The market had changed quite a bit in the intervening years, and User Group meetings are now a crucial part of both career development for users and an opportunity for feedback to the vendors.

Why it matters

More than a meeting

User Group meetings are now a crucial part of both career development for users and an opportunity for direct feedback to the vendors.

  • Open technical discussion between new and expert users
  • A direct feedback channel to the technology providers
  • Hands-on workshops and technical presentations
  • Career development and networking across the sector
